I am Melanie Henstrom, IBCLC, a board-certified lactation consultant with extensive experience in guiding families through their breastfeeding journeys. My approach is tailored to your specific breastfeeding goals, ensuring you feel prepared and supported from prenatal consultations all the way to weaning.

• Prenatal Education: I help educate you before your bundle of joy arrives, so you feel prepared and confident.
• Postnatal Support: If your baby is currently having trouble, we’ll get to the root of the problem, not just put a bandaid on it.
• Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT): I am trained in Upledger CST1 and CST2, the Milne Institute for Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy, and Gillespie Craniosacral Fascial Therapy. This gentle, hands-on technique helps release tension, improving latch and overall comfort for your baby.
• Tongue Tie Assessment: If you’re struggling with feeding your baby, or if your baby is super fussy, chances are your baby has a missed tongue tie. I provide thorough assessments to identify and address these issues.
• Virtual Consultations: Yes, virtual consults work! With good lighting and a second pair of hands, I can evaluate both you and your baby on camera in the comfort of your home, easing your worries and providing the advice you’re looking for.
• Induced Lactation for Adoptive & Surrogate Babies: Are you adopting or having a surrogate baby? Did you know you can breastfeed too? Time is of the essence to increase success, and it is one of my favorite things to help with.
